वीरगंजको सम्बन्धमा केही कुराहरु जानी राखौ ।


Birgunj was founded and established by the Late Rana Prime Minister Bir Shumsher J.B. Rana in 1897 (B.S. 1954). Birgunj has been a busting and vibrant industrial and commercial city in south Nepal for already 50 years. It is situated in the Terai plains of Nepal, near the Indian border. This strategic location makes Birgunj a frequent destination for business travellers, executives of foreign projects and agencies, overland tourists, pilgrims and other visitors. There is a vast dry port being constucted in Birgunj at present. It signifies the importance of Birgunj as a strategic trade and transit junction between Nepal and India, and the world beyond. It is also a rapidly growing well established industrial city and has been playing an active role in the economic development of the country. The central location of the city in the map of Nepal gives it the added advantage.Birgunj is the head quarters of Parsa district in Narayani Zone of Nepal. The city has temperate type of climate. Max.37° C in summer and 8° in the winter.The population of the town of Birgunj is about 2,00,000 and is inhabited by multi lingual and multi ethnic group who speak Nepali, Newari, Bhojpuri, Maithli, Marwadi, Hindi etc...
